Summer Office Hours
Our school will continue to be running daily operations as it does every summer. Building access to the families and visitors will be allowed per the state and county guidelines.
Our summer office hours are:
Tuesday 8:00-3:00 p.m.
Wednesday 8:00-3:00 p.m.
Thursday 8:00-3:00 p.m.
The events listed below are subject to change as new policies go in place due to the coronavirus.
Sunday, June 7th
- Monday, June 8th - PK3, PK4 and K materials exchange
- Tuesday, June 9th - Move up Day for students in grades K-7. Homeroom teachers will virtually accompany their classes as they "visit" with teachers from the the next grade level.
- Tuesday, June 9th - Materials exchange for families whose surnames begin with letters A-K, from 4PM - 6PM
- Wednesday, June 10th - Materials exchange for families whose surnames begin with letters L-Z, from 4PM - 6PM
- Wednesday, June 10th - Virtual end of year class parties in virtual homerooms from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
- Thursday, June 11th - 10:00 End of Year Mass followed by the End of Year slide show (students will watch through their homerooms, a virtual link will be pushed out Thursday morning for parents)
- Thursday, June 11th - Last Day of School! Official dismissal time is 12:30 p.m.
- Tuesday - Thursday, June 9th - 11th, School day ends at 12:30 for all students. Full day for faculty and staff who will be engaged in professional development in the afternoon.

Morning Prayer and Pledge of Allegiance
The morning message is now being emailed as well as posted to FaceBook! If your child would like to be the one leading the Pledge of Allegiance or the Morning Prayer, then please send the video of your child(ren) to office@resstpaul.org!

Materials Exchange
PK3, PK4 and Kindergarten families should have heard directly from the teachers regarding materials exchange that will take place on Monday, June 8.
All other grades will have the opportunity on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 9 and June 10, to receive student personal belongings which were left in school and collecting textbooks and technical devices (e.g. Chromebooks, chargers, etc.) and any other school property in students' possession. We ask all families to please comply with the procedures for safe exchange of materials delineated below.
Families whose surnames begin with letters A-K are asked to come for the exchange of materials on Tuesday.
Families whose surnames begin with L-Z are asked to come on Wednesday.
The exchange of materials will take place on the circular drive in front of the church and school between the hours of 4 PM and 6 PM.
The letter pushed out to families, which contains additional information about this exchange, can be found below.
Report Card Distribution
Yearbook and Class Photo Distribution
Each family will be receiving one copy of the yearbook which is included in your enrollment fee for the year. A limited number of additional copies of the yearbook have been printed and will be available for purchase for $25.00 each. In order to reserve your copy, please fill out the following web form and reserve your yearbook. They are “first come, first served” and when they’re gone, they’re gone.
After reserving your yearbook(s), please submit a check made out to RSPS for the correct amount, and put Yearbook in the memo field. If you so choose, you may securely tape a clearly labeled envelope with your payment inside to the outside of your materials you are returning to school this week. When we get the check, we will make sure that you get your additional yearbook.

Parent Meeting Summative and Updates as of 5/29/20
RSPS will Feature a and Online Auction Next Week!
PantherFest has been delayed a few months but we are still raising school spirit by hosting an online auction of each grades collaborative projects! The RSPS community is hosting an online auction for amazing class projects in addition to a few other items (such as reserved parking for the 2020-2021 school year and front row seating at 8th grade graduation). Each of your children's classes were commissioned to create a project for the PantherFest '20 Silent Auction. Please be on the look out for an email from school and class room parents for the link to bid on these items early next week. Bidding will close 5 PM Friday, June 12th. We have many more auction items to debut in person (fingers crossed!) at PantherFest on Saturday, October 17th at Rolling Road Golf Club!

Be a Light for All to See! Logo Design Contest
LOGO DESIGN CONTEST: Call for Submissions Click Here!
The Department of Catholic Schools is seeking logo design submissions for the 2020-2021 School Year theme – Be a Light for All to See, Matthew 5:16. The contest is open to students in grades 4 through 11, currently attending an Archdiocesan Catholic school. The winning design will be used as the official logo for the 2020-2021 School Year theme and will be used for marketing and promotion purposes. The logo can be digital or hand drawn, and should illustrate/reflect the theme. All entries must be submitted to Mary Destino (mary.destino@archbalt.org) by Monday, June 8th. The winner of the logo design contest will receive a $50 Amazon e-gift card.
Faculty and Staff Updates
Bob Buchta has shared he will be retiring this year. He will spend his retirement continuing to shower his love on his wife and family as well as spending time at the beach! We are wishing Bob Buchta a fond farewell and our sincerest gratitude for his service and dedication to RSPS! Those are big shoes to fill and Bob is irreplaceable!
Jackie Wells has shared that she will be completing her tenure at RSPS. She has been such an asset to the school and our families. We wish her the best of luck on her career path and want her to know our door is always open to her!
Christina Schell has shared that she will not be returning to RSPS in the fall. We wish her all the best as she moves on and as she prepares to get married this upcoming fall!
Brendan Nass will be joining the Learning Resource Team as a full time instructional assistant with a focus on math support. He will be pursuing his masters degree in education concurrently. Best of luck to Brendan and welcome to the LRT!!!
Meals for the Clergy
For those wishing to serve, earn hours, and help with meals for the clergy:
Fr. John requests that you drop meals for the clergy off at the back door of the Rectory house at 3130 Chatham Ct in Ellicott City. If nobody answers, you may leave it on the table on the deck, also in the back.
Drop-offs should be as close to 5 PM as possible, and may be left any day of the week. Fr. John and the clergy community appreciate what they can receive.

Vacation Bilble School Registration is Now Open!
Registration for VBS is now open!
After all that has happened we have made the decision as a pastorate to go virtual for Vacation Bible School!
Both Resurrection and St.Paul will be offering a "Stay-cation Bible School!" Families will get to pick up packets for faith and fun at home as live and prerecorded videos guide children through the week.
St. Paul will be doing a program called "A Radical Ride on the Wings of Prayer" which will run Monday, June 22-Friday, June 26th. Opening sessions will begin at 9:30AM. This is going to be centered on family growth. Register here: https://membership.faithdirect.net/events/details/4179

Distance Learning
Distance Learning!
As a school system, the Archdiocese of Baltimore is making a promise to continue to educate our students for the 2019-2020 school year. Our teachers will be continuing our distance learning model including video conferencing and live or recorded content delivery with some necessary tweaking after teacher, student, and parent feedback.
Distance learning is scheduled to take place through June the 1st for 8th grade and June 11th for K - Grade 7.

8th Grade Updates
Mrs. Rensberger and Mrs. Underwood let all families know earlier this week that there will be a mass for the 8th grade graduating class. Each 8th grade family will recieve an invitation for mass and additional details. Below are some general details regarding mass:

Date and Time: June 16th at 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
Location: Church of the Resurrection
Registration: Families, faculty, and staff will register in advance indicating their attendance.
