"To not be judged by the color of
...our skin but by the content of our character"
Dr.Kings speech summary and significance
The significance of this speech was to call upon everyone and to be united as one. Dr.King main points is how America is not following the constitution that they put place that "all men are created equal". He doesn't want them to stand for being treated wrongly for the color of their skin, but instead of having violent protests he wants us to rise above them and be peaceful but they won't stop until they get justice. He wants everyone to stand united instead of being segregated. He want us to be "not be judge by the color of our skin but by the content of our personality" And finally he wants freedom to reign everywhere no matter where you live.
"Still not Free"
I chose the quote "still not free'.This picture represents the reason why they are protesting in the first place. They want their constitutional rights just like any American regardless of their skin color.
"We cannot walk along"
I chose this picture because we must be united. We cannot walk along in this fight and we must walk together; this is everyone's fight to be free.
"Content of our character"
I chose this picture because King stressed that he wants to be judge for the content of a person then our skin color. If we continue to judge someone based on skin color alone we will never come together to form a brotherhood.
'Let freedom Ring"
I chose this picture because no matter where you live you freedom should reign everywhere for everyone. Wether you are, white, black, gay, or a women freedom should have no boundaries.
Pharrell Williams - Freedom
I chose this song because it says "freedom for all" just like how Martin Luther King dreams that "one day little black boys and girls will be able to hold hands with little white boys and girls as sisters and brothers" all with freedom ringing through the air.
