Trailblazing...
Wednesday afternoon, learn more about technology tools for school counselors at our pre-conference with Andrea Burston. (Please note this is a separate registration/fee). Wednesday evening, our Gold Rush BINGO begins at 8:30 until 10pm.
On Thursday morning, we have keynote speaker Dr. Erin Mason at 8:30am and Thursday afternoon is our Elementary Level session, along with a variety of amazing sessions by your colleagues!
On Friday, we have keynote speaker Julia Cook! As an elementary counselor, I am sure you have several (if not all) of her books on your bookshelves. Be sure to invite your principal to Friday's sessions! Principals can attend for free on Friday and learn more about school counseling!
Thank you to everyone who filled out the Needs Assessment survey! We heard your preferences and will be offering a Level Session on S.M.A.R.T goals and behavioral resources. If you can't attend, no worries! We are going green ( so you will have one less CD to keep up with/ dust off) and will be posting the resources on the new Members-Only section of our website! We will also share with all session attendees on Google Drive, so be sure to sign in with your e-mail at the Level Session!
And Transforming...
We will also have resource listings of books, blogs, parent and teacher resources and more to help you transform your comprehensive School Counseling program!
Each month, updates will include resources for a specific topic, informed by Member survey input of upcoming lesson topics. October's topic will be Bullying Prevention/Conflict Resolution. Be sure to check it out the 2nd full week of each month at www.vsca.org
The first update is planned for the week of Columbus Day (October 13th)!
