Autumn spirit in Art class
Autumn is one of the most beautiful seasons of the year, colorful and bright. About autumn is often said: “Autumn is an artist.” In just a few days, autumn repaints the landscape. Autumn is a special time for our students as well, it inspires them to work with a special desire. In our Art class, students learn to work with warm colors. Students, like autumn, are also wonderful artists. Each class, each student is happy to create their masterpieces using the magical colors of the autumn season. We learn how to paint landscapes in warm colors, draw forest animals and do a lot of fall crafts.
Teacher Professional Development
On November 10-12, BIS teachers will have 3 days of profesisonal development. One day will be devoted to updated first aid and CPR training and certification. Two days will be focused on 21st Century Skills and the 4Cs, which are part of QSI's new accrediation objectives. The 4Cs are communication, collaboration, creativity and critical thinking. Teachers will be learning about how to incorporate the 4C's into their lessons. Additionally, teachers will have a chance to attend a workshop about MAP testing and how to use the results to drive instruction.
Most of the PD this year will be virtual, with other QSI schools in the region. However, there will also be time for collaboration with colleagues here on campus.
