Dear Early Learners Families,
SNOW many fun things happened around Early Learners this week! Between the adventures in exploring snow, and the excitement around winter olympics activities, our kids had a great week. Check out what happened below!
Have a wonderful weekend,
Janet
What's Happening in Early Learners?
This week we wrapped up our Winter Unit. The classes spent time learning about the Winter Olympics. We focused on the meaning of the Olympics, the history, and the different sports. Students got to try curling and ice skating as well as building their own skeleton runs. We also explored other topics such as friction and hibernation.
Over the next few weeks we will be focusing on Black History Month. Students will spend a little time learning about stereotypes, slavery, and civil rights. These topics were discussed on a basic level during MLK day so the vocabulary is familiar to the students. From there we will learn about famous poets both past and present, athletes, musicians, and inventors. We hope you all have a great weekend!
