Outstanding Student Fees
Starting next week, BLPA will start enforcing the guidelines in our student fee policy posted on our website. This document states: Students who have not paid the annual fee may not be eligible for extracurricular activities, athletics, and other events throughout the school year.
If you applied and qualified for free/reduced fees through District 49, please provide the school with a copy of your determination letter. You can apply for this benefit using this link: https://www.d49.org/domain/2708.
If you have any questions, please email Devin at dharmon@blracademy.org.
Count Day
Monday, October 3rd is Count Day and we wanted to share a little bit about it and why it is important. October count day is when the state takes account of the number of students enrolled and in attendance on at each school. The number of students both enrolled and in attendance on October count day impacts our state funding.
From CDE βThe Student October Count is based on a one (1) day membership count in which districts are asked to report all students who are actively enrolled and attending classes through their district on that date.β
Please be sure that you student is in attendance on October 3rd so that BLA receives funding for your student.
Things you need to know:
Free dress, hat , AND crazy Sock day for everyone! Free Dress means non-uniform clothing, students can wear a school-appropriate outfit of their choice.
Thank you for you support!
