Grand Tea Party - May 30, 2019 from 2:15-3:00 PM
MTE Students and their grandest adults are invited to our annual Grand Tea Party for cookies, tea, coffee, lemonade, and fun conversation.
This event is open to any caring adults in your child’s life who don’t usually have the opportunity to attend other school and PTO functions with them - grandparents, favorite aunts/uncles, sitter, etc.
Permission slips will be going home next week, so keep an eye out for them. Parents are welcome to attend but are asked to participate as volunteers.
Guests may get a picture with their students; cost is $3.00 per photo.
As this event cannot happen without lots of help, we are currently looking for volunteers. Parents, please consider helping us make this event fun for our kiddos.
We need lots of parent volunteers for the event:
Set Up: Help with set up of tables, chairs, and decorations. Help decorate the tables, set out activity sheets, make coffee and lemonade, and other prep work. (11am - 1:30pm)
During the Event: Set out and serve cookies and drinks, greet arriving grand adults, help kids find their adults, help at the photo booth(s). (1:30-3:00pm)
Clean up (3:00pm).

Students on School Grounds Before and After School
School supervision begins in the gym and for breakfast at 8:10 AM. There is no school staff supervision and no safety patrol at the intersections before 8:10 AM. Please do not drop students off at school before 8:10 AM and encourage walkers to not arrive before safety patrol is active.
At 8:10 AM, students must enter the school building and may not continue playing on the playground or in front of school.
School is dismissed at 3:10 PM. We have staff supervision at the family pick up area until 3:25 PM. All students waiting to be picked up must wait near the pick-up loop and may not play on the playground.
Families are welcome to play on the playground starting at 3:10 PM as long as there is direct guardian supervision.
If students would like to play on the playground after school without guardian supervision, they must go home first, while we have safety patrol at the intersections and check in with family or guardians. Students may return to school after 3:25 PM if they have permission from their guardian. There is no school supervision after 3:25 PM. After-school day-care supervision is only for students enrolled in their program. Our school grounds are open to the community outside of school hours - after 3:25 PM until 8:10 AM and on weekends.
Thank you for your help keeping all our children safe.
