CHARGER CHRONICLES

August 24, 2020

“Look upon yourself as a tree planted beside the water, which bears its fruit in due season; the more it is shaken by the wind, the deeper it strikes its roots into the ground.” -- Margaret Mary Alacoque

Homework & Assignments

Dr. RaeNell Houston, Superintendent of New Orleans Catholic Schools, has asked that teachers do not assign work over the weather event due to the possibility of power outages. Therefore, assignments due Monday are now due upon return to school and all other work will be rescheduled.

Please pray for the families and friends of our SMM community who have asked for our prayers. If you would like us to pray for a loved one, please send Coach Gay an email: gknock@saintmm.org. Simone Boell, Dale McCloskey, Dale Davis, Cherie Manuel, Augusta Flanagan, Paula Satterlee, Lorraine Olmo, Lela Blalock, Jessica Bodron, and Lisa Ferrer.

For all service men and women; first responders; police; firefighters; health care workers; and everyone who is keeping us safe, protected, and fed during the COVID 19 crisis.

For all those sick and suffering from the Coronavirus, may they recover quickly and completely.

For the repose of the soul of Reba Slayton (Mr. Jimmy's mom); her family and friends; and for all those who mourn her loss.

Our Lady of Prompt Succor, please protect us from damage to life and property during this hurricane season.

"OUR SCHOOL"

In centers last week, Emma Stevens and Luke Dwyer constructed an elaborate building. When asked what it was, they said it was "our school." Great job, Emma and Luke. We love your vision of SMM.
