Are You Arch Ready?
UGA Career Center's Arch Ready Professionalism Certificate
What is the Arch Ready Professionalism Certificate?
A series of programming offered by the UGA Career Center to provide all UGA students with career development and job search training.
This program is not for academic credit - it is intended to enhance your degree through professional development.
Completing the Arch Ready program would be a great way for you, as an Intended-Grady student, to get a jump-start on preparing for your career and will help set you apart from your peers.
Why Should Intended-Grady Students Participate?
Students who complete the program will receive:
-A formal printed certificate
-A lapel pin to wear at career fairs, graduation, and on interviews
This is also a great addition to your resume - it shows employers that you are serious about your professional development!
Students say...
"I really enjoyed the Arch Ready program. I learned a lot about moving forward with my career and gained confidence in areas I didn't have before. I would recommend this to everyone!"
"I really enjoyed attending these workshops! I am continuing to attend them even though I've already completed five."
"All of the programs that I attended were very impactful and helpful for my career growth and development."
"Great program because it's information we are missing in the classroom."
How To Participate
1. Attend at least five eligible events in the Fall 2017 semester.
Be sure to keep track on your own of which events you have attended - Career Center staff cannot confirm attendance to events throughout the semester. You can use this handy tool.
All events must be attended within one semester.
No need to sign up to participate in the program, or RSVP to events (unless specifically indicated) - you can just show up!
2. Scan in to each event with your UGA ID Card and pick up a red Arch Ready card. This red card must be submitted at the end of the workshop.
Students may not scan in to receive credit after the event has started. Students will not receive credit if they leave the event early and/or do not submit their red card.
3. Complete a brief survey which you'll receive via e-mail after each event you attend.
This allows us to improve programming each semester!
4. After attending 5 or more events, complete the final Arch Ready survey before the deadline.
This is how you officially complete the certificate! If you do not complete the final survey before the deadline you will not receive the certificate, regardless of number of events attended.
An e-mail will not be sent prompting you to complete this survey. It is your responsibility to visit the link after attending your five events.
5. Pick up your certificate and lapel pin at the Career Center!
