Bright Beginnings Buzz
Happy December! Christmas is coming fast and furious! Are you ready? Remember the reason for the season and prioritize. It's ok to focus on the most important things and let other things slide. Make those memories while you still can...children grow up way too fast! :)
We are looking forward to a fun December! :) We will have our very own Christmas Concert for the preschool aged children. We will be learning about the reason for the season, the legend of St. Nick, and having festive class Christmas parties. Please read on for more December news.
Fruit of the Spirit: Peace
Peace involves resolving conflict...both within and with others. Jesus is known as the Prince of Peace!
Bible Verse: "For a child has been born for us" (Isaiah 9:6 )
Our little ones have really been enjoying Children's Church with Pastor Amy! :) During the month of December, Pastor Amy will review our bible verse, talk about what it means to have "peace", and teach children about Jesus' birth. We will be singing fun songs including "Awesome God" and also collecting our change for the children in Africa.

Most women don’t consider their lives great. Stuck in an endless routine of cleaning, cooking, and caring for family members, they struggle to find meaning and worth in their daily lives. Exhausted at the end of another busy, chaotic day, they wonder if they have made any measurable progress, if their work counts, and if it even matters.
In Rocking Ordinary author Lea Ann Garfias talks frankly, but in a humorous way, about real life, ministry failures, and the depressing side of Christian womanhood. Whether you feel capable or not, you are already changing lives. This fun-filled book is for Christian women in their 20s, 30s, or 40s who may or may not have children, may or may not be tired, and may or may not be addicted to coffee.
Session II - Ends the week of December 10-14.
Session III- Registration will begin in January. The first class will be the week of January 14 and will go through the week of March 4th.
A new registration form and class description will be out during the registration week. Please let us know if you have any questions.
There are a lot of ways to give. Please do not feel obligated, but if you are interested in helping the following are opportunities we are focusing on:
New and/or Gently Used toys- There will be a table in the main hallway to collect these items. Please place new toys on the top of the table and gently used toys underneath (please do not bring toys that are broken or have pieces missing). These toys are used by the local food pantries to give to families who did not sign up in time to be on the Giving Tree.
New and/or Gently Used winter wear including hats/mittens/scarves- There will be a box in the main hallway to collect these items. These items will be disbursed to those in need through the food pantries and to the North Dayton school we sponsor.
Thank you so much for all of your support and help. This season is full of hope, peace, love and joy. It can also be full of stress. By helping others you will be helping to relieve some of the stress that the holidays can bring. Of course, this is all optional! The last thing we want to do is add stress to you! If you are able and willing to help in any way- THANK YOU! If you are not able to help in one of these missions that is fine! We just ask for your prayers of support. :)
