what is ESD?

ESD is electrical static discharge which could possibly kill you if you are not wearing the proper protection. is the sudden flow of electricity between two electrically charged objects caused by contact, an electrical short, or dielectric breakdown. A buildup of static electricity can be caused by tribocharging or by electrostatic induction.

Steps when working inside a computer

first, you need to have everything you need like the tools you would need to use and be sure to be on hard wood(not carpet) . if you are a girl make sure to put your hair up.

Second, you need to be sure you unplug the computer or device or else you may get electrocuted.

Third, you need to ground yourself. Either with a ground bracelet (ESD) , a ground mat, antistatic gloves, and or an antistatic shielding bag.

fourth, be sure that whatever you are fixing it can be fixed if it is an FDR do not try to fix it the only thing you have to know is how to replace one.

Fifth, after changing or removing a component remember to put it in an antistatic bag right away.

lastly, be sure it is nice and tight and secure you can close back up your computer or device.
