BHMS Principal's Update 11/21/22
Recapping the Week at the Hill
Keeping Up with What is Going on at the Hill!!!
Hi Bulldog Families,
We hope this newsletter finds you well on a short week at school. Most importantly, we hope that you have a great Thanksgiving holiday surrounded by loved ones, especially those of you who have children in college who may be coming home for the long weekend.
While we continue to be busy at BHMS, we want to let you know that we at the school are thankful for your support and your children. Just like any child as they grow and mature, sometimes mistakes happen. However, we have noticed this year that with your support, our Bulldogs learn from their mistakes and seek to improve. We've also noticed a significant number of students who continue to maintain the highest of ethics and are subsequently role models for others. Children and families are certainly not without stress in their lives. Yet, it is quite admirable the growth mindset the children show. This is all we can ask as educators and we thank you for your partnership in this middle school journey. That's why we as educators are so proud to teach and work in unison as Bulldogs.
Again, Happy Thanksgiving. You each certainly deserve it.
Sincerely,
Mike D'Ostilio

ON THE ATHLETICS PAGE....
Make sure you review the "Participation Information" as well as "Forms and Paperwork." Reminder:
- A student cannot try out or practice for any sport without a verified athletic physical.
- Physicals must be in at least 3-4 weeks prior to the first practice. It takes at least 3 weeks to review. The nurse has to verify the form, then send it to the district doctor who reviews the form. Sometimes the doctor does not endorse the physical and asks the nurse to go back to the families for more information. This could be a long process.
- Wrestling Practices begin 11/29. Basketball tryouts are the first week of December.
- Contact Coach Falzone ( kfalzone@wtps.org ) for Wrestling. Coach Meo (mmeo@wtps.org) and Coach Heston (mheston@wtps.org) for girls basketball and Coach Hillard (khillard@wtps.org) for boys basketball.
- Also, if your child would like to participate in the BHMS Get Moving or Dance Clubs, your child also needs a physical.

Building Better Bulldogs (3Bs) Mission and Vision
This pandemic has created so many questions and concerns for students that are well beyond academics. We are committed to providing a safe environment where students can express themselves as they question the ebb and flow of their world around them.
