BOARD OF EDUCATION REORGANIZATION MEETING: January 3, 2023 (7PM)

The Livingston Board of Education will hold its annual Reorganization Meeting tonight, Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at 7PM in the Central Office, 11 Foxcroft Drive. Newly elected Board members Seth Cohen and Parul Khemka will be sworn in during the meeting.


Tonight's meeting will be held in a hybrid format during which participants will have the ability to ask questions and make comments either in person or via the webinar. Register for the webinar using the link below. The meeting will also be livestreamed on the district's Facebook page, @LivSchools.

LHS Science Pathways Event

Students in 8th-11th grade and their parents are invited to Livingston High School's Science Pathways event on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. The program will begin at 6:30PM in the LHS Auditorium. The programs gives students and parents an opportunity to discover the diversified science pathways that are available within LHS to help determine which one would be the best fit for the student.

The Livingston Health Department shared useful information to help parents determine if their sick child is experiencing a cold, the flu, RSV or COVID-19. View this information, as well as prevention tips to help keep everyone healthy this school year!

LHS FBLA HOSTS ENTERPRISE DAY

Before the school break, Livingston High School's Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) hosted American Enterprise Day, a day that recognizes free enterprise and how it has contributed to the economy. The goal of the event is to teach others about the benefits of free enterprise and increase understanding and support of the free enterprise system. Speakers included representatives of numerous businesses, including IBM, Blue Owl Capital and Bausch + Lomb, as well as a representative of New Jersey FBLA.

CRISIS LIFELINE

The FCC recently approved a new 3-digit dialing code, 988, for mental health crisis and suicide prevention. The 988 line operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for calls, texts, and chat. Learn more about the new nationwide 3-digit dialing code for crisis and suicide prevention.
