Happening This Week
After Church Forum May 14 at 11:30 am: The Proposed OUUC Budget
If you are someone who likes to know the numbers and dive deep into the details of the OUUC congregational budget, this forum is for you! One of the tasks for the annual congregational meeting on May 21 is voting to adopt a congregational budget for the July 2023-June 2024 congregational year. The staff, Rev. Mary, and the Board have been hard at work for several months preparing a budget. At their meeting on Thursday, May 11, the Board will adopt a draft budget to bring to the congregation. Then we’ll post and send out information for anyone to review for the May 14 forum.
In short, here’s the timeline:
May 11, 7:00 pm-Board meeting, Board adoption of the draft budget
May 12, Board approved draft budget posted for members to see
May 14, 11:30 am after-service forum on the budget
May 21, 11:30 am annual congregational meeting to vote on the proposed budget
How we allocate our resources is how we live our values. Thanks for engaging in this important practice.
Thursday Dinner
This week’s Thursday Community Dinner is hosted by the Ladies Unitarian Social Hour (LUSH) and will be Greek food. Contributions of dessert are welcome, otherwise, they have the menu planned.
All are welcome at 5:30 pm!
And then stay after dinner for a Sing Along with Troy at 6:30 pm.
