A Message from Principal Georgia
I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend and your student has had a successful start to the 2022-2023 school year. Phoenix Digital Academy is proud to serve 1,585 students, including 1,101 full-time students and 484 concurrently enrolled students. We are also excited to welcome two (2) new counselors and thirteen (13) new teachers to the Phoenix Digital Academy family.
As a reminder, Term 1 for our full-time students ends on Friday, October 7. Full-time students must complete 100% of their coursework, including the Cumulative Exam, by Friday, October 7 to earn credit for their courses.
Parents, please be sure your student is making adequate progress in his, her, or their online classes by consistently monitoring the progress and performance of your student in the Edgenuity Family Portal and ParentVUE. CogAT for Freshmen, September 7
All students in Grade 9 must take the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) on Wednesday, September 7, any time between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The test measures students' academic aptitude and gifted abilities. Students can access this online test from home by following the instructions below.
How to Access the CogAT:
- Clicking HERE.
- Entering your student ID number and the Session Code on the right-hand side of the page. The Session Code is 93-46241.
- Wait for the proctor to approve you to begin testing. The test includes three (3) different subtests. Students must take all three (3) subtests.
NWEA for Sophomores & Juniors, September 7-9
All students in Grade 10 & 11 must take the NWEA Language, Reading, & Math Tests. The NWEA measures academic achievement and growth.
- The Language Test will be Wednesday, September 7.
- The Reading Test will be Thursday, September 8
- The Math Test will be Friday, September 9.
How to Access the NWEA:
- Go to test.mapnwea.org.
- Enter the Session Name and Session Password your Advisory teacher provides for you. (Check your Advisory Teams tile for this information.) Please be sure to disable pop-up blockers before you begin testing!
Virtual Assembly for Sophomores & Juniors and Parents
Black Student, Parent, & Staff Dialogue Sessions
This past January, PXU held dialogue sessions with members of our community to share important information we gathered regarding perspectives, reflections, and lived experiences as shared by students, parents, and staff that identify within the Black, African American, African diaspora.
PXU invites you to participate in a follow-up dialogue session regarding our prioritized focus areas for the 2022-2023 school year and for you to provide further input on solutions in these areas.
Please attend any of the three (3) in-person sessions and / or one virtual session.

Connecting With Our Teachers
Please remind your student that all messages will receive a response within 24 hours (or on Monday, if the message is sent on Saturday or Sunday). If an immediate response or support is required, please encourage your student to call or message the teacher via Teams during Office Hours.
