Kids teaching Kids
Kids create their own healthy snack daily for 21 consecutive days and log it in their Snacking Log. They can get ideas for healthy snacks from their recipe book, or the online Healthy Snack Finder. They can also create their own recipe!
Make sure to submit your log and complete the final assessment. Every child that participates, and completes their log, will receive a reward when they return from Spring Break!
This year Dallas ISD is challenging Arlington ISD to have the most Super Snackers!
Red Ribbon Week is coming!
Children of parents who talk to their teens regularly about drugs are 42% less likely to use drugs than those who don't, yet only a quarter of teens report having these conversations. Red Ribbon Campaign is an effort to draw awareness of the negative impact of drug use in the United States. This year the Campaign will take place in the last week of October.
Did you know you can participate in a photo contest and with an iPad and $1,000 for your school? Decorate your home or classroom door, snap a picture and submit it! You might be one of the winners this year. Submission is open all October. Visit the Red Ribbon Week website to learn all about the contest, sign the pledge, and learn how to stay drug-free!
