Viking Leadership Academy Developed For the 2015-16 School Year

The FHHS Activities Department is excited to announce the creation of the Viking Leadership Academy. During the 2015-16 school year all FHHS student-participants will participate in at least 2 leadership development opportunities during their involvement in their activity or sport. The program will be lead by Coach Muehling and Coach Radigan who have taken the roles of Coordinator of Student-Participant Developent. The goal of this program is to develop Viking leaders both in and out of their activity and to prepare all Vikings for life after high school. The Viking Leadership Academy was developed from feedback received from student-participants, coaches, and parents. 75% of those that particpated in a voluntary survey saw leadership development as a priority for FHHS programs.

STUCO Members Write Letters To Help Benefit St. Jude

Student Council students participated in a letter sending event on April 29th during Howell time. Students brought one non-STUCO friend to join in the activities. Students were asked to bring 25 names and addresses and put together letters to send to friends and family members. The letters give the recipients​ the opportunity to donate towards St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

Tennis Has Strong Showing at GAC Tournament

Congratulaitions to our boys tennis team for a great two day showing at the GAC Tournament. The team finished 2nd in the GAC Tournament and had several great singles and doubles perofrmances. Below is a recap of our medalists.

Scholar Bowl Season Comes To An End In State Sectionals

A great scholar bowl season came to an end at the hands of Marquette in the State Sectionals on Wednesday, April 29th. The Class 4 District 6 Champion Vikings took on Marquette and lost in the best of three game series 410-360 and 480-250. Congratulations on a great season and on another district championship to add to the 2014-15 school year!

Golden Girls Recognized by U.S. House of Representattives

Congratulations to our GG's for being recognized by the U.S House of Representatives on Wednesday, April 15th. The GG's were recognzied for their Class 6 State Championship at the Missouri Dance Team Association Championships.

Owning the Court as One – FHHS Basketball Teams Bond Together For Success

This season the boys and girls basketball programs had great success both on and off the court. What some may not have seen was the family bond that these programs worked to develop over the course of the season. Being involved in an activity at FHHS is truly being part of a large family that works to support each other and lead each other to achieve excellence in all aspects of life. Three Teams From Technical Student Association (TSA) Compete At Boeing Engineering Challenge

FHHS was well represented at the recent Boeing Engineering Challenge. The Technical Student Association (TSA) competed at the Boeing Engineering Challenge at Washington University. Team 'Crash and Burn' consisting of Allie Stevens, Nick Stevens, Graeme Jacobson, and Tommie Fredrick received medals for the Straightest Flight Path in Division 1. All FHHS TSA teams have been working hard since November preparing for the competition. Congratulations to sponsor Dane Williamson and all TSA students.

Boys Golf Members Recieve All-Conference Honors

Congratulations to Matt Hunt and Dylan Marcelle for earning 2nd Team All-Conference and Blake Porter for receiving 1st Team All Conference for the second consecutive year.

Varsity Boys Golf Finishes Regular Season

Congratulations to the Varsity Boys Golf Team on their 2nd place finish in season points and 3rd place finish in the GAC Tournament at Bear Creek. These young men will be back in action on Monday, May 4th in the District Tournament.

Boys Volleyball Reaches Lafayette Tournament Championship

Congratulations to the varsity boys volleyball program for reaching the championship game of the Lafeaette Tournament. The Lafayette Tournament included some of the top teams in the State. The Vikings ended up falling to #1 state ranked and undefeated Vianney in the Championship game.

Varsity Baseball Gets Win Over #2 Ranked Staley

The varsity baseball program had a strong weekend as they posted a 10-0 win over North Kansas City and a 7-6 win over #2 state ranked Staley. The Vikings are back in action on Tuesday at home against Timberland.
