Senior Art Class Holds Fashion Show
Horizon’s Senior Art Class held it's first Unconventional Clothing Fashion Show! The students in art class created both Summer and Spring garments. The Spring garments were inspired by the quote, "Spring is nature’s way to say, let’s party". Horizon’s Summer garments were inspired by the quote, “Every summer has a story”. All of the clothes were made out of unconventional materials and hand sewn.
The class became teams of models and lead designers and created pieces made from three dimensional drapes, upcycled denim, ribbons, upcycled upholstery, and even a Christmas tree skirt.
Some of our specials classes even came together to watch the event. It was a great opportunity to showcase their creations, practice collaboration, and even bring the student body together. For a sneak peek of the event, check out our TikTok!

Bitty Cheer Night
A group of approximately 70 K-5 students joined annual Bitty Cheer Camp. They had been practicing hard for a couple a weeks and were finally able to show off their talents at the last boy's home basketball game. Our Bitty Cheerleaders spent the first half of the game cheering on the boys with the help of our cheer squad. They were the stars of the half time show performing their grade level chants and their cyclone chant. They topped the game off with a big cheer performance.
Senior Night
Horizon hosted two Senior Nights this month. One was to honor the Seniors on our Cheer Team & Boy's Basketball Team. The other was to honor Sha'Dymond Charlton, the only Senior on the Girl's Basketball Team. Senior Night is an opportunity for the staff and families of our student athletes to honor them during their last High School season. Thank you to everyone who came out to make these moments special for our students.

Honoring Robert Biehler
On February 15th we held a basketball game honoring our Superintendent of Maintenance, Mr. Robert Biehler, or as we all know him, Mr. Bob. Bob is a Lorain native who is 80 years young, and is an active member of the Lorain Community. Bob spent most of his life working with HVAC and you can often find him donating his expertise and services to many community members, organizations, and even fellow co-workers. Bob is an active Altar Boy at his church and a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. You can also find him chatting with almost anyone, anywhere, lifting their spirits. It was such an honor to present him with an award of 15 years of service surround by the school community who loves and appreciates all that he does.
