Nook Ereaders Available for Student Check-out
We have added 6 Nook Simple Touch ereaders to our Learning Commons collection. These devices are ready for student check-out. Currently these Nooks have 9 titles available for students to read: Variant, Death Catchers, Michael Vey - Prisoner of Cell 25, The Eleventh Plague, Lost in the River of Grass and The Name of the Star [these are current Truman Award nominees] as well as The Hunger Games, Catching Fire and Mockingjay. Students will check these devices out for two weeks just as they would a book or eBook.
There are User Policies that must be followed and, as with any school property, damages or loss will be paid for by the student. The Nooks have a protective cover to avoid any damage.
We are very excited about this addition of even more technology to our Learning Commons and we look forward to great feedback from our kids!

Lost in the River of Grass by Ginny Rorby
Talk about a field trip gone wrong! Read this Truman nominee to find out how two young teens lost in the Everglades struggle to find their way out of this dangerous place!
What I am reading: I'm a Good Dog by Ken Foster
What an awesome book about America's most misunderstood and mistreated breed of dog. I was truly educated. These can be such gentle, loyal and sweet dogs if only they have a chance. Ok, I confess that I am an animal lover!
