Who, What and Why
Before beginning your job search, know who you are, what you want and why you want. This knowledge will help you create resumes and cover letters that target specific jobs and employers. Employers know when you are applying to anything and everything.
Start with Your Network
Who do you know that can be a resource in your job search? This can include past employers, supervisors, co-workers, friends, etc., Tell people in your network the type of job you are seeking and ask if they can refer you to employers or if you can use their name in a networking letter or email.

Utilize Career Gear to search jobs posted directly to our site for ASU students and alumni. Search our job/internship sites that we have purchased including Entry Level jobs for Graduates, Opportunities in Public Affairs and Environmental Jobs and Internships.
Career Fairs and Employer Events
Utilize every opportunity to be in front of employers through ASU Career Development Center career fairs/workshops and employer visits to classes/clubs. Look for regional career fairs/networking events open to the public in geographic regions you are interested in.
