Returning Student Registration (2021-22 school year) DUE Feb 28
Families of all returning students must complete the process to confirm the school their child plans to attend in the 2021-22 school year BY FEBRUARY 28th.
Additionally, students who want to attend a non-designated school need to make that request through the returning student registration process—acceptance is based on available space.
FR Haythorne is an open boundary school for the upcoming school year.
Access to the Returning Student Registration Form is provided through the PowerSchool Parent Portal. If you don’t have a PowerSchool Parent Portal account, you need to set one up before Feb. 1, 2021.

Brightspace Work and Student Absences
Learning & being curious together at FRH
Along with art, FRH has also been working on expanding its literature choices too. We know that the more our students see themselves in books & magazines, the more likely we are to be able to engage them in reading. With a ton of work on the part of Mrs. Getschel & support from our Administration, we’ve been able to expand the collections in our Library. Some of the Indigenous titles students have access to include; a series by author Michelle Paver including The Wolf Brother, Trickster a graphic novel collection, The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie, a collection of Mi’kmaq poetry by Michelle Sylliboy, As Long of the River Flows by Larry Loyie and of course the series by Elder Wilson Bearhead and his wife Charlene Bearhead, Shia Tooskin Knows… If you are curious about any of these titles, your student is able to sign them out from our Library, they simply need to ask their ELA teacher.
Caregiver Education Series
Alberta Health Services is hosting a series of caregiver information sessions focused on ways to support students’ mental health. The sessions are free and geared toward parents, caregivers, teachers and community members who want to learn more about challenges impacting children and adolescents. This year, session topics include anxiety, ADHD, depression, self-harm, technology, teens and teaching leadership skills, and more.
Visit Caregiver Education for the Edmonton Zone for more information and session dates.
Paying Fees
All yearbook and pizza orders must be completed and paid before you leave the site or your cart will be emptied.
