Senior Signing Day
Senior Signing Day is a special day for everyone in the LEAD network and especially for our seniors. This year’s event will feature The Class of 2019 who will be announcing their next path in life.
To celebrate we would like to invite you for breakfast at LEAD Academy on Thursday, May 16th, 2019 at 7:45 - 8:45 am. After breakfast, we will drive to Belmont University Curb Center to join our Seniors and the rest of our LEAD families in the celebration.
A postcard was mailed home; please RSVP by April 23rd to make sure we plan accordingly.
Breakfast even is ONLY for Senior Families.

Nissan’s Summer Engineering Program 2019
This program offers a hands-on learning experience for freshman, sophomores, juniors, and seniors from area high schools. Working with Nissan engineers in Smyrna, students get help to resolve real workplace problems and see what it takes to operate one of the largest automotive assembly plants in America. FREE Driver Awareness Class
Registration is now open for the Metropolitan Police Department’s
FREE Driver Awareness Class for high school-aged teens, scheduled for
Saturday, May 4th from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. This popular course will be held
in the community room of the MNPD’s South Precinct, 5101 Harding
Place. It is open to all high school aged teens, regardless of county of
residency. The class, taught by Nashville police officers, will not offer behind
the wheel training, but rather will focus on impaired driving, distracted
driving and overall traffic safety. Persons interested in signing up for this program may do so online

Upcoming Games
Look for schedules on coming out soon for our boy’s soccer team on the bulletin board, near the front office and on our website http://high.leadacademy.org/athletics. Come out to cheer on our LEAD Panthers! The LEAD FC JV soccer team plays at HOME against Pearl Cohn on the 4th at 4:30, Waverly on the 18th at 5 pm, KIPP on the 25th (Senior Night) at 5 pm, and against MLK at 4:30 on the 30th.

UniCycle Partnership
We are partnering with Unicycle (A School Uniform Recycling Program). UniCycle is a school uniform recycling program that orchestrates the collection and re-distribution of “Outgrown, not worn out” clothing to provide Standard School Attire to LEAD or METRO students who need it.
What we Collect? Gently used or new clothing that meets the requirements of Standard School Attire at LEAD or METRO Schools. This includes: Collared shirts in solid colors, all sizes, long and Short-sleeved (Polo style). Shorts, Pants and Skirts in Khaki, Navy blue and Black. Girls’ Uniform Dresses in Khaki, Navy Blue and Black. Belts. Leggings - All colors and Patterns (to wear under skirts and dresses).
