If You Have Moved...

If a student's residence or contact information changes, the parent or guardian is required to notify the school. The following information must be submitted within fourteen (14) days of any move or change of address:

* Forms in Spanish are available at the end of this newsletter

Parents/guardians should use the STUDENT FORM to notify the school as soon as possible if their student receives a positive COVID-19 test or if they find out that they have been a close contact of someone who has tested positive. The form should be completed for any student who has spent time on campus.

Please complete the form from HERE.

For more information about COVID-19 by APS, please visit APS Student Services page .

If your student is absent, parents must send a note to BOTH homeroom teacher and Main Office (Anri Satoh/ anri.satoh@atlanta.k12.ga.us) within 3-days from the day of absence.

Any absence without note will be marked as UNEXCUSED. If your child has a technology issue and cannot log in, immediately email the teachers to let them know. A technology issue is excused absence if the teacher is notified on time. However if there are excessive technology absences, a school social worker referral will occur.

Late check in and early check out are for medical emergencies ONLY.

We are encouraging parents to have any appointments on either afterschool hours or Wednesdays so that we can keep tracking the students' traffic within the building and maximize students' learning experience.

If appointment cannot be rescheduled, student is expected to attend school virtually for that day.

Bus Stop Locator

If your student is riding the bus to/from school, please check the Bus Stop Location and Schedule from HERE. Bus drivers will NOT let the students off the bus unless sighting their parents, so please be sure to be at the stop 5-10 min. before the schedule.

For more information, please review Transportation Policy and Bus Stop Safety Procedure from HERE.

No Get Home Plan Changes

Please kindly note we are not accepting any transportation changes at this time except for the medical emergencies. Please plan your students' get home plan in a week ahead and directly communicate with homeroom teachers in case you would need to change.

Please remember that immunizations must be updated prior to returning to school. Students can receive immunizations via a County Board of Health Office, a private physician, or one of the school-based health clinics.

Due to COVID restrictions and parameters, parents are encouraged to call and schedule an appointment prior to arriving on site. We have also partnered with the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile to continue to provide immunizations via the mobile van to students ages 4 and up who are Medicaid eligible. You can find a flyer for where the mobile van will be for the month of January. (Spanish) No appointment is necessary, and students will be immunized on a first come, first served basis. As CHOA finalizes a January and February calendar, we’ll be sure to share those dates and locations once we receive this information. See HERE for the information regarding APS immunization requirements. These immunizations must be up to date for your child to return to school in person.
