Say WHAT???
CALLING ALL FPS STUDENTS.............GET A FLU SHOT AT SCHOOL!!!!!
Fulton Public Schools is working in conjunction with the Callaway County Health Department to provide flu shot "clinics" at school.
Who will give the shots?
The FPS Director of Health Services and another nurse from FPS will give the shots in each school.
When will the shots be given?
The date will be scheduled sometime around the beginning of November.
Who is eligible?
All students are eligible for shots--insured, uninsured, and those on Medicaid.
Do students need money the day they get their shot?
Kids won't be charged, but it will process through insurance if they have it. This means if families have private insurance, the insurance will pay for it and then the family will receive an EOB from insurance.
Oops! I forgot my permission form. Can I still get the shot?
Students CANNOT get a shot without the permission form which is due back Wednesday, October 21st.

Pay Rate: $85 per day for a teacher substitute
$10.66 per hour for a para substitute
$110 per day for a long term teacher substitute
Requirements:
60 College Credit Hours OR
A Content Substitute certificate may also be granted to an individual who has a high school diploma, General Education Diploma (GED) or High School Equivalency Test (HiSET) and has successfully completed a minimum of twenty (20) clock hours of department-approved substitute teacher training that includes professionalism, honoring diversity, engaging students, foundational classroom management techniques, basic instructional strategies, supporting students with special needs, and working with at-risk youth. Parent-Teacher Conferences
Parent-Teacher Conferences will look a bit different this year. Below you will find the plans for each level. As always, FPS strives for 100% participation!
Pre K and Elementary
Conferences are from Oct 19th - Nov 13th
Teachers will be reaching out to schedule these with families
The conferences will be by google meet or phone
Middle School
Conferences will be scheduled from Oct 19th - Nov 13th
Advisory teachers will facilitate the conference schedule based on the needs of the family
More details will come out after the October 12th professional development day
The conferences will be by Google Meet or phone
High School
- Parents/Guardians--please contact the teachers you wish to schedule a 10-minute conference with.
- Parents/Guardians have the option of format: Google Meet, email, or phone call.
- When you contact the teacher, the teacher will have dates and times ready to offer.
- Conference dates are Monday, October 19-Friday, November 13.
- Seminar teachers will follow up with parents/guardians that have not contacted any of their student's teachers for a conference. Please respond if a Seminar teacher reaches out, we do not want you to miss an opportunity to discuss your student's progress.
- Parents/Guardians of a student that has a D or an F will be contacted by that specific teacher.
