Fulton Focus

For the parents and patrons of the Fulton School District

October 16, 2020

A message from the Superintendent

As we approach the end of the first quarter and enter the fall season, I want to thank everyone for their diligence and commitment to keep us safe and in school. Flu season is upon us and will present additional challenges. We have worked with the Callaway County Health Department to provide flu vaccines to students at parent requests. See below for additional information.

Also, the need continues for substitutes and bus drivers. If you or someone you know is interested, please reference the information included in this Focus.

Thank you again for your support and as always, It's a great day to be a Hornet!

Say WHAT???

Fulton Public Schools is working in conjunction with the Callaway County Health Department to provide flu shot "clinics" at school.

Who will give the shots?

The FPS Director of Health Services and another nurse from FPS will give the shots in each school.

When will the shots be given?

The date will be scheduled sometime around the beginning of November.

Who is eligible?

All students are eligible for shots--insured, uninsured, and those on Medicaid.

Do students need money the day they get their shot?

Kids won't be charged, but it will process through insurance if they have it. This means if families have private insurance, the insurance will pay for it and then the family will receive an EOB from insurance.

Oops! I forgot my permission form. Can I still get the shot?

Students CANNOT get a shot without the permission form which is due back Wednesday, October 21st.

More information and the permission form can be found at
