Welcome to the Woodland Park School District e-Newsletter which is sent out weekly when school is in session. It serves as a glimpse of some of the wonderful things going on in our schools, as well as a point of reference for upcoming events.

Ms. Macchiavello's first grade class at Charles Olbon School played "I Spy for Trick Words" using a snowman craft. Students colored identified words while others used marshmallows, cotton balls, etc. to identify the words.

All students and staff invited to take part in Holiday Spirit Days
Although the holidays may be different this year, it does not mean we can’t get into the holiday spirit! Woodland Park School students and staff are invited to participate in Holiday Spirit Days as noted below! Happy holidays to all! As always, participation is optional.
Week of December 14-18
Monday, December 14: Candy Cane Day - Wear red and white!
Tuesday, December 15: Merry and Bright Day - Wear the colors of any holiday celebrated during this season!
Wednesday, December 16: Winter Vacation Day - Dress as though you are on a vacation of your choice! (ski hat, sunglasses, Disney shirt, etc.)
Thursday, December 17: Grinch Day - Dress like the Grinch and wear green!
Friday, December 18: Pajama Day - Wear holiday or favorite pajamas!
Week of December 21-23
Monday, December 21: Jingle Bell Day - Wear bells and jingle all the way! (Just not during instruction!)
Tuesday, December 22: You’re a Gift Day - Add some bows, ribbon, or stickers to your outfit!
Wednesday, December 23: Holiday Sweater Day - Wear your favorite or most tacky holiday sweater or favorite colors!

Deadline for holiday gift card drive is Tuesday
In the spirit of giving, we are working to once again support our neighbors in need during the upcoming holiday season. Our goal is to give both a ShopRite gift card as well as a toy gift card to each family. We are accepting Amazon, Visa, ShopRite, or Target gift cards, in any denomination.

Tuesday, Dec. 15, 6:30 p.m. - Fall into S.T.E.M.: Join Miss Scillieri as she unravels the mysteries of science through technology, engineering, art, and math. Register here. After registering, you will receive a Zoom link to participate.
Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2 p.m. - Virtual storytime
Thursday, Dec. 17, 6:30 p.m. - Join Miss Dana and Miss Sara on Zoom to make a holiday craft. A Zoom link will be provided after registration. All craft supplies will be available for pickup at the Library. Register here.
Thursday, Dec. 17, 6:30 p.m. - Bananas & Books for grades 4-8. The group will be reading "Hoot" by Carl Hiaasen.
Friday, Dec. 18, 2 p.m. - Virtual storytime
Tuesday, Dec. 22, 6:30 p.m. - Digital Breakout - Frosty, Jack Frost, and the Elf on the Shelf are planning a winter wonderland party. But they have a lot of organizing to do. Can you help this trio get organized and escape in time to join their party? Join in via Zoom for a virtual breakout. Registration is required. Program open to grades 4-8 . Zoom link will be emailed to participants five minutes prior to program beginning. Register here.
