Principal's Message:
Welcome to the 2020 - 2021 school year! I am honored to serve as Principal at Table Rock Elementary again this year and work with an amazing staff and community to make a smooth transition for our scholars during this uncertain time. The start to our school year is different for sure, but the people are not different! Our TRE staff and our families still care deeply for our scholars' success and well being. Working together and giving grace is a must during this time. Together, we will continue to make TRE a great place to learn.
Per our Governor's mandate, we will begin our school year doing Comprehensive Distance Learning (CDL) until we are able to meet the COVID-19 metrics for Jackson County. Scholars will begin school virtually on September 14th. Next week, after the teachers return, we will be sending out our draft learning schedules. Families can expect to hear from their teacher the week of September 8th to schedule an orientation meeting for the following week.
Below is a recommended supply list during this CDL time. Establishing routines and schedules for your scholar will ensure their overall success. We understand that every family will have unique scheduling needs due to parent work hours, etc. Please communicate with your child’s teacher if there is a struggle meeting the needs of our CDL schedule. Scholars will be required to be engaged in learning both online with their teacher as well as applying that learning through practice each day of the week. The more often students can interact in the live sessions with their classmates, the better connected they will feel.
This school year is a different start, but TRE is still the place to be! We are committed to working with our families to ensure a positive learning experience for our scholars. Let's stay positive, give grace, and work together to make this a great year at TRE!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Shehorn
