Outstanding Primary Writing
WITH INTEGRATED MOBILE TECHNOLOGY
Using Mobile Technology to Teach Outstanding Cross Curricular Writing in the New National Curriculum
This training course will explore the new National Curriculum for English and provide clear examples of classroom practice considered outstanding by OFSTED. Teachers and school leaders will leave with a clear methodology and adaptable practical examples enabling an effective and engaging whole school approach to cross-curricular writing, which has been recognised as outstanding by both the National Literacy Trust and HMI. The methods shared are applicable in both KS1 and KS2 and build on outstanding practice which is embedded in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Featuring many opportunities for drama and role play, planning, drafting, editing, and publishing this full day will allow teachers to ensure that classroom technology is used to raise standards of writing in all curriculum areas.*iPad minis and a number of key apps will be used throughout the day demonstrating how new technology can transform outcomes for all pupils in speaking and listening, reading and writing.
In order to be recognised as outstanding schools need to demonstrate enterprising and imaginitive use of modern technology across the curriculum. The whole-school approach developed by Mr Andrews Online will give teachers skill and confidence in 7 key areas highlighted by **HMI as crucial for outstanding teaching and learning.
A list of iPad apps which will be used on the day will be forwarded to delegates wishing to use their own iPad.
*outcomes can be achieved using android devices and other technology

We are experienced primary school teachers with a passion for innovation, curriculum development and embracing new technology. Our work is based on using technology in the classroom in a way which is accessible for all teachers and impacts on pupil standards and progress. The work we share impacts on the whole primary curriculum and has been shared at conferences around the world. We have presented at the iPad summit in Atlanta, USA, in London for the National Literacy Trust and Westminster Education Forum and arounf the UK for the National Association of Headteachers. Our methods are distinct, unique and easy to adopt.
