Warren Woods Middle School
Color Run. Oh, what fun!
We are hosting a Color-A-Thon fundraiser on June 9 at 3:00 pm to raise money for our courtyard. We are hoping to raise $6,000. Students were given information about it last week. We have extra donation envelopes in the front office. All donations and money collected must be turned in by Monday, May 4. Students must have a minimum donation of $30.00 in order to participate. If we don't have the student donation on Monday, May 4 they will not be able to participate. Please don't miss out and be bummed when June 9th comes around. Turn in your envelope.
On Saturday, May 9, we invite the 6th grade families to meet us at Yates Park ( on the corner of Avon and Dequindre, Rochester Hills, MI) at 10:00 am. It is across the street from Yates Cider Mill. The 6th grade Science classes have been observing and caring for over 150 salmon fish in Mr. Barc's classroom. On May 9 we will be releasing them into the river. Please come join us for the release of our fish we have seen grow from an egg to a fish.
M-STEP State testing
The state testing will continue with the 7th graders next week. They will be taking the ELA performance tests and the Math test. Keep doing your best and working hard. We are proud of you!
The WWT Band and WWMS PTC will be holding a flower sale on Mother's Day weekend, May 9 and 10. It will be held in the front parking lot of WWMS. The hours are on May 9th from 8-4 and on May 10 from 8-2. Come out and shop with us for Mother's Day. We will have a huge selection of flats, baskets and more. We will also have fresh mixed bouquets in different sizes. We thank you in advance for your support.
Canned Food Drive
During the month of May, Student Council and Ms. Hogan's 4th & 6th hour classes are sponsoring a canned food. To kick off the drive, we are having a PJ Day on Monday, May 4th. The cost is $2.00 or 3 canned goods. The WWMS School dress code still applies for pajamas. If you aren't sure if the pj's are appropriate, please be responsible and choose something else. We will continue to collect cans through the month. Please help us curb hunger in Michigan.
Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up change
Beginning Monday, May 11 you will no longer be able to use the East parking lot (Schoenherr lot) to drop-off or pick-up your students. The Warren Woods Tower Booster Club Fair will begin set up and NO CARS/TRUCKS will be allowed entry. The front parking lot and West (Auditorium) have limited space available. Please make alternate arrangements for the week of May 11- May 15. Thank you for your cooperation and flexibility.

You can find the application on the district's website at: http://www.warrenwoods.misd.net/ . The School of Choice application must be returned no later than August 21, 2015. We would love your student to continue to be a Wolverine!
The end of the year brings many celebrations. There are several field trips planned to recognize students. We would like to remind families that if your child is not attending the field trip we still expect them to attend school. Teachers will be leaving lessons for students not attending the trip. Please be sure to continue to stress the importance of daily school attendance with your child. Let's keep building healthy and positive habits.
