Staff Spotlight
Greetings Lobos!
This week’s Staff Spotlight is a familiar face in the community and maybe the most interesting man at PSA. Mr. Charles Vochatzer, also known as Mr. V, teaches 6th Compacted Math, 8th GAME, and Geometry PAP.
Mr. V was born in Independence, Missouri, Home of Harry Truman. He earned his Bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Studies from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, MO. He later received his Master’s in Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, TX. Prior to entering the education profession in 2006, Mr. V served as a Baptist minister for 25 years. In addition, he also served in other various positions to include: Minister of Education, Music, and Youth.
An aspect that Mr. V loves about teaching is being able to see his students develop and apply problem-solving skills that they can use throughout their lives. One educational highlight for Mr. V this year, is being able to teach his first Compacted Math (6th grade) students again for High School Geometry (8th grade) credit.
Mr. V is the proud husband, to his wonderful wife, Linda, and they have a son Paul and daughter Brittani. He first met Linda in their college cafeteria, over the infamous “mystery meat”. LOL. They later married on the same date as their college graduation in 1979. In Mr. V’s free time, he enjoys spending quality time with his family, traveling, and working on projects around the house.
We are proud of Mr. Vochatzer’s commitment to his students, the community, and PSA.

Prestwick Learns
Prestwick LEarners are avid readers. We can snuggle up read in the coziest places because WE READ ANYWHERE/ANY TIME! We read for pleasure, we read to make sense of the world around us. Reading equals learning. The best part of learning is the journey it can take us on and doors it opens for our learners.
We hope you will share this love of Reading with your learner and encourage them to always have a book. We want to remind you that while we often read to our young children - it is never to late to read to and with your child.
What's your favorite book or the last book you read?
Mrs. Gibson's most recent was The Glass Castle and it was a page turner!! As usual the book was not as good as the book.
