Welcome Back Buffs!

Dear Students and Parents,

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! We have been off to a busy start and hope that our Buffs have settled into their routines. As the year progresses, remember to work hard and ask for help when you need it. We want all of our students to have a great year!

We have already presented to seniors through their English 4 classes as well as to parents at our Senior Parent Night. Our main topic was preparing students for post-secondary options such as applying to 2 or 4-year colleges or universities; researching trade or technical schools; joining the military through an enlistment, academy or ROTC program; or finding a career in the workforce. Additionally, all of the information has been posted to our website. Seniors will soon be meeting individually with their counselors to review senior transcripts and endorsements as well as to review their future plans. As the year continues, counselors will meet individually with juniors, sophomores and freshmen to review their four-year plans and endorsements. These meetings will take place October-February. This process will serve as registration for the 2020-2021 school year. It is important that students review their four-year plans with their parents to ensure accuracy of the classes students wish to take. In addition to academic planning, counselors are available to help with a variety of topics such as self-esteem, organization, goal setting.

Counselors are available to speak with students and parents about concerns they have. We encourage students and parents to submit an appointment request through our website. This ensures that counselors have time set aside to meet with students and/or parents.

Please watch our calendar through our website, Twitter and Facebook for events happening at Clemens. We will continue to have additional Parent Nights throughout the year. We hope that parents and students will join us for these informational events.

Best wishes for a great year!
