Battle of the Books Club Begins October 11th - 4th & 5th Grade Students
Battle of the Books is a club that meets after school on Monday afternoons from 2:35 - 3:15 to explore and read a variety of books. In the spring, The Mill Street Battle Team competes with other elementary schools in our district. A variety of questions will be given to the teams based on each of the 40 Battle books. The highest scoring team receives a trophy for the school. The test to make the team will be given February 14th. If your child does not wish to try out, they are welcome to participate in the club until the test is given. We encourage all to participate to foster a passion for reading!

Volunteer Opportunities for the 2021-22 School Year
Mill St. is fortunate to offer many areas of enrichment, appreciation and education for our students and staff. This wouldn't be possible if it weren't for our wonderful parent volunteers. Below are the committees we are looking for chairs for this school year. Please consider offering some of your time, you can make a difference! Please note that some of these openings require little if no time spent at school, perfect for a working parent wanting to help!
If you have any questions regarding chairing a committee or would like to volunteer, please contact Ann Pohlkamp at email@example.com.

H&S is our school’s version of a PTO or PTA, except there are no dues--just an open invitation to stay informed and get involved at whatever level you can.
