Early Civilizations-Grade 1 CKLA Reading

Our first grade students are learning about world religions. Jinan prepared an essay, wrote words in Arabic to teach them, read them a book, and gave them stickers at the end. Thank you Jinan for sharing about your culture.

Our Grade 2 and 3 Writing Club students were excited to share their published pieces!

Thank you to the volunteers who helped with our Holiday Shop!

Laser Lightshow Fun!!!

Our students enjoyed a laser light show this week. The show featured hit music and cool laser animation. The students were singing and cheering throughout the assembly. They especially liked the holiday music!

Chorus Tree Lighting and Concert!

Our grade 4 and 5 chorus was busy this week with two events. Thank you to Mrs. Higham and our chorus for two wonderful performances. They sure did get us in the holiday spirit!

Congratulations to our 2022 Teacher of the Year and our Educational Professional of the Year!

A message from Mrs. Beverly, our Art Teacher

Dear Pine Beach Family Members,

By now if you are a Kindergarten to 2nd grade parent you should have received an email from Artsonia asking for your permission to publish your child’s first artwork. All is needed is your permission through the email if you have not signed up in the past. Here is more information about the Artsonia program:

  • Artsonia is the world’s largest FREE online student art museum! Your child’s artwork will be published on their own individual gallery page to keep their masterpieces in a digital portfolio.

  • Parents & relatives can view the art online, leave comments, and have the option to order keepsakes with the art imprinted. No purchase required, but if you choose to buy something, Artsonia donates 20% of your purchases back to Pine Beach’s Art program.

  • Artsonia is iKeepsafe-certified and their website is very safe for kids, schools and parents. Students are identified only by a first name “screenname” (ex: Sarah22). Last names are not publicly posted on the website. All comments are pre-approved by the registered parent before being posted, and all artist statements are approved by the teacher.

Parents with children in grades 3rd to 5th, if you haven’t signed up you should have received an email to sign your child up to their current artist gallery. If you are already signed up, there is no need to sign up again.

Visit www.Artsonia.com/parents or visit our school page here: Artsonia School » Pine Beach Elementary School. We are currently uploading our first round of artwork as the projects become complete and you will be notified by email every time new artwork from your child is added.

Thank you for supporting Pine Beach’s art program!

EMERGENCY CONTACT INFORMATION IN THE PORTAL

You MUST have at least 2 or 3 emergency contacts listed. If you wish that your

child is released only to you or someone designated by you, you must notify the school

office annually that the situation exists. Proper documentation must be filed in your child’s

cumulative folder. If your information changes during the school year, please call the Main

Office. Please make sure that your address is correct in Genesis. If you have moved, you

must contact the Main Office to fill out a change of address form on the TR Schools

website.

You must sign off that you read the PBE handbook.

Our school handbook can be found here PBE Student Handbook and on our school website. Before the first day of school, plan to read and discuss this handbook with your child. Then complete the Google Survey on the More tab and click on Scholar and Family Acknowledgement to verify that you have read it. Please continue to check your email prior to the start of school for important information from the district and our school.

Arrival and Dismissal Information

Please find more detailed information in the school handbook. Supervision will not be available for walkers until 9:15 a.m., therefore students should not arrive before then. If you are dropping off in the morning, please do not arrive in the ferry lane before 9:15 a.m. Once students arrive, they should enter the building and line up in the hallway (the faculty will assist them). For pickup, please do not arrive before 3:20 p.m. Arriving too early will cause a backup on Motor Road which causes problems for our community. Please see the linked map for directions. At pickup, parents should wait by their cars and students will be dismissed to you once the teacher makes eye contact. Drop-off/Pick-up Map Please do not come late and cut off the other lanes to leave. If you arrive and all 4 lanes are filled (see the nice visual from a PBE Parent), you will exit after lane 4. The last car in the lane should be able to be parked forward in the lane, not on an angle. Thank you.
