It Has Begun: 2019-2020
Greetings To All Of Our Mesa Middle School Families!
We have the first few weeks of school under our belts and it has been a phenomenal start to the school year for our students. The students appear happy to be back at school and they are adjusting well to the new school year. The faculty and staff have worked hard to support our students and to make them feel comfortable in their new classes, schedules, and grade levels. In addition, teachers have taken the opportunity to get to know their students through innovative and engaging activities, which helps to set the stage for learning throughout the year.
As I wrote in my start of the year letter, please know that the main goal of every staff member of Mesa Middle School is to ensure that each student is provided the opportunity for a positive, productive, and safe school experience. This is our commitment to you.
Sincerely,
Tony Jackowski
Principal

This school year, the Mesa Middle School PTO won't be asking you or your students to sell wrapping paper, candles, candy, or to get pledges for fun runs. Instead, we are asking you to invest in our teachers and students by donating online (and to share our campaign with your friends and families too).
Our Colorado Gives Annual Giving Campaign allows you to support our school without taking a catalog to work or to your neighbors!
Please donate today and share our campaign link with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors. You can pay online today securely and easily. (Just click Donate Now and then choose "Nonprofit's Discretion" from the drop-down menu on the payment screen.)
Thank you to our parent community for helping us support our school, staff and students!

Real World Learning Opportunities!!!!
On Tuesday, August 27, 2019, students from Mesa Middle School descended upon downtown Castle Rock to learn about how their town functions and some of the needs of the community. Partners from the Library, Castle Rock Water, Parks and Recreation, Fire, Police, Downtown Alliance, Development Services as well as the Mayor, Jason Gray all took the time to talk to students enrolled in Mesa’s Innovation and Design elective course.
With the help of chaperones, students were able to rotate to different locations around downtown to listen and ask questions of leaders in our community. The goal of this field experience was for students to be inspired by an idea or issue and then through their Innovation and Design class, design and test a prototype to meet a specific need.
