Terrorism
It threatens our world and everyone in it.
IsIs Isn't just Invading Syria and Iraq.
On the night of November 13th, IsIs attacked France. The attacks were from suicide bombers. 130 people were killed, 100 injured, and 7 attackers died. This was the worst tragedy for Paris since ww II.
ISIS is spreading
These days anyone could be a part of ISIS. The terrorist group has gotten dozens of american teens to attempt to fly to Syria and join them. Most of being lost track of, being stopped by the police and other forces. The story of one Virginia teen stood out to me. Ali Shukri Amin (17) under the alias "@Amreekiwitness" on twitter composed and posted more than 7,000 tweets in support of the self-proclaimed Islamic state and it's radical plan. Within three months, the teen had over 4,000 followers, including active fighters and recruiters in Syria and Iraq. Fast forward a few months to August 28th. Richey states "He was standing before a judge at the federal courthouse in Alexandria, Va. The teenager looked small and frail. He was sentenced to 11 years in prison, pay a $100,000 fine, and submit to federal supervision for the rest of his life. Ali is only one of 58 individuals arrested in 2015 with charges of providing material support to militant Islamic groups."
