Help Save the Oceans!

Introduction: Ocean Pollution
Each year, the earth sweeps its debris down into the oceans, polluting their once clear waters. Humans are the number one cause of the contamination of the earth’s waters. By depositing our trash and garbage into the seas, we have disrupted the ocean ecosystem. I believe that we are solely responsible, and that we need to take part in saving our beloved oceans. Pollution is a very serious threat to all marine creatures and habitats.
Trash Pollution
Toxin Pollution
Oil Pollution
What Can We Do to Help?
The damage can be reduced!
To reduce the damage associated with trash, take the time to throw unwanted items away in a nearby trash or recycle bin so they are properly disposed of. Rally some friends to pick up litter in parks, highways, beaches and even your neighborhood. In doing this, we can lessen the risk of trash becoming blown into the sea.
Help with small tasks!
Instead of buying popular brands, buy ecofriendly goods that are manufactured using green methods. Don’t use chemical packed fertilizers and lawn products. Although the only ones who can really make a difference in the depositing of toxins into the ocean from plants and factories are the owners, we can still help by even the littlest things.
Oil can become a smaller threat!
We need to be more careful when pumping oil, or it may even be best to not pump oil near the ocean at all. Tanks of oil traveling across the ocean need to be more secure, so in the event of a storm oil is not accidentally spilled. Oil is dumped into rivers and drains, and then eventually it travels into the ocean. To lessen the amount of oil that we “accidentally “dump into the seas, we should take care to properly dispose of oil instead of carelessly pouring it into drains and rivers.
