Grant Opportunity
The applications and timeline for the Alief ISD Education Foundation mini-grants have been posted.
These are available to any Alief ISD elementary, intermediate, middle or high school teacher. The purpose of the grants is to encourage our teachers to try innovative ideas to improve the success of their students.
The grants are intended to cover expenditures for the front-end costs of starting up these new course ideas. Past recipients of these grants have produced many interesting and useful approaches that have contributed to the academic progress of Alief ISD.
We expect to give out in excess of $40,000 in grants this year – comparable to what we granted the previous several years. As before, the applications will be reviewed by three knowledgeable staff members and the successful grants will be determined by the average of their ratings. Every effort is made to keep the process objective.
The application form and the instructions can be found on the Foundation web page here https://www.aliefisd.net/domain/4888
Please not that applications are due February 5, 2018.
