Plasma or Cell membrane
A wall protecting both the animal and plant cells. It contains and make sure that the cell keeps its shape while choosing what is able to go in or out of the cell. It is found in both animal and plant cells.
A wall made out of specialized sugars around the cell membrane of a plant. Like the cell membrane the cell wall is a protective guard to the cell and allows the cell to keep its shape. It is found only in plant cells.
The Cytoplasm is the fluid that suspend the cell organelles. It also has the important job of dissolving different molecules of the cell into different solutions to be used by the cell. It is found in both plant and animal cells.
The nucleus is big dark spot in or around the center of the cell. From this spot it controls all of the things the cell does and stores the DNA of the cell. The nucleus can be found in both animal cells and plant cells.
The Nuclear Membrane is a wall surrounding the nucleus. From here it is able to protect the nucleus and make sure it maintains its shape. It also like the normal cell membrane allows proteins and RNA to leave and enter the cell. This is found in both animal and plant cells.
The nucleolus is a big dark spot in the center of the nucleus. It is the brain of the nucleus controlling it and the cell. Interesting enough however it does not actually have much DNA in it being composed more of RNA. It is found in both Animal and Plant cells.
The Centrioles are a set of mircotubles which when arranged in a center way. There are nine groups of mircotubles which when together form a right angle. When it is time to divide the Centrioles help by helping in the process of mitosis and meiosis by pushing towards the ends of the nucleus when they are needed for the cell to divide. They are found in both animal and plant cells.
The chromatin of the cell are long strains of DNA located in the nucleus. There function is to help in the organization of the DNA and the associated proteins of the cell and nucleus. They are found in both animal and plant cells.
The ribosomes are enzymes that when they combined with two substrates make a protein. This is basically all the ribosomes are used for, creating proteins so that they can support the cell. They are found in both animal and plant cells.
The Golgi Apparatus is a series of membranes shaped like pancakes with each membrane having two layers like the cell membrane. The Golgi Apparatus function is to take simple molecules and combines them into complex molecules which it either stores or send out the cell. They are found in both animal and plant cells
The Endoplasmic reticulum is a network of membranes found throughout the cell that are connected to the nucleus. Their job is to function as a manufacturing and packaging system for the cell. Can be found in both animal and plant cells.
The mitochondria is a pair of membranes in the cell, one covers the organelle while the other is the one that makes the energy for the cell. The mitochondria is basically the digestive system of the cell gathering nutrients and breaks them down to make energy. It is found in both animal and plant cells.
The chloroplast is a pair of membranes that hold the stroma and the grana. It is used in the cell by converting light energy into sugars that can be used in the cell and support the plant. It can be only found in the plant cell.
The lysosomes are single-membrane holding proteins and enzymes. They have the simple job of holding and digesting enzymes for the cell. It can only be found in animal cells.
The peroxisomes like the lysosomes are single membranes holding proteins and enzymes. They also have the job of holding and digesting enzymes for the cell but the enzymes have to be oxygen based. Only can be found in an animal cell.
The vacuole is a point in the cell that could be characterized as a pit used in the cell for storage. The vacuole basically has the job of storing either food for later used in the cell or to hold waste has the cell to remove. It is in both animal and plant cells but is bigger in plant cells.
The Cytoskeleton is the structure of the cell, being made out of various different proteins. This organelle provides the base structure for the cell holding it together. It is found in both plant and animal cells.
