UPCOMING BOULDER UNIVERSAL EVENTS
NOVEMBER & DECEMBER
BOULDER UNIVERSAL FITNESS HIKES
EVERY TUESDAY, 10:30am. Rain or shine or snow. Meet outside the BU lab for a walk with your BU mentors. If you are taking a BU PE course this semester, count this as one of your workouts for the week!
SAFE ZONE
SAFE ZONE, our GLBTQ+ and allies group, is up and running. We have both an online presence (via Schoology) and weekly in-person meetings. Contact your mentor if you would like to be added to the online group, where you will find resources, cool links, discussions, and meeting agendas. Our next in-person meeting will be on Thursday, December 1, 10:30-11:30 in portable 3. We will be alternating Thursday mornings and Tuesday afternoons. Your mentor can send you the meeting schedule if you're interested.
MOVIE NIGHT - ME and EARL and the DYING GIRL
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 8, 5-8pm at the Boulder Universal lab. This will be our third movie night of the year. Permission slip required. Parents can sign at the door. This movie is being shown in conjunction with the BU Book Club's reading of the book of the same name. We will discuss both the book and the movie.

CYBER SENIORS IN-HOUSE EVENT
MONDAY, DECEMBER 12, 2:00-4:00. We are excited about our team of Cyber Seniors mentors at Boulder Universal. Cyber seniors is a program that pairs students with seniors who want to learn about basic technology. A group of BU students has been through the training, and on Monday, December 12, from 2:00-4:00, BU will be hosting an event for friends and family of BU students. If you know any seniors who might be interested in learning how to use an iPhone or iPad, or in learning how to get connected with social media, please let your mentor know. We will send a formal invite to interested seniors.
TEAM CHOP - VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY!
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 14, 9am - noon. This is a volunteer opportunity with There with Care, a non-profit that offers assistance to families in medical crisis. Team Chop meets on Wednesdays from 9am - noon to prep meals to deliver to families. This will be our first volunteer experience with them, and we are hoping to make it a monthly event. Space is limited. Please contact your mentor if you are interested.
COOKIES & HOT CHOCOLATE & MOVIE DAY in the LAB
Come to the lab after break. Not only can you get help from our amazing teachers and tutors, but that's right, on some cold and snowy day, we're gonna make cookies and hot chocolate and show a surprise family-friendly movie.
