The Librarian and Counselor

September 2020

Welcome back students and parents. We are excited to connect with you for another wonderful school year. Remember that we are here to support you!

If you read your 10 books over the summer and used one of the forms in our Thinglink below, please turn in to your teacher. If you still want to read 10 books and participate by October 5, you can use the Thinglink below to record your books. You can participate in bingo, use a reading log, use the padlet, or respond to questions, or use MyOn. We need 300 students to read their 10 books, so Mrs. Tosh and I can dye our hair blue!!!! Come on, Hart Rockets, I know you can do it. Watch the video, where it says "Start Here."

Hugs to all! This is my third year at Bernice Hart Elementary! I can't wait to share my love of reading with you. I have so many good books to share. As your librarian, I will provide lessons and storytimes, coordinate author visits and bookfairs, and buy new books! I will also host Bookspring this year, as well. For Bookspring, all students will receive free books. I will also be providing lessons on digital citizenship and internet safety with Ms. Trejo. Here is the Library Blend page.

Counseling at Hart

Dear parents,

I am aware that this time is difficult for everyone. Please note that I am available to support you and your kids during this time. Along with myself, the school counselor, we have our wonder parent support specialist, Mrs. Medina and our Communities in Schools program manager, Ms. Brittini. We look forward to a wonderful school year.

Ms. Trejo

This is my third year at Hart Elementary. This will be my 15th year in education. My mission is to enhance a child's emotional, academic and personal growth in order to create successful, independent citizens. As the school counselor, I will be providing classroom lessons throughout the school year. With parent permission I will also conduct small group and individual lessons. Please contact me for counseling support. I look forward to another wonderful school year.
