Career Days
March 12-16: Prepare for the Fair
Prepare for the Fair is a comprehensive week of workshops, activities, and meaningful contact with employers before Spring Career Days to help students hit the ground running.
Programming falls under three main themes: Plan, Polish, and Present for students in various stages of their career development. Throughout the week, students can polish their resume, perfect their elevator pitch, practice interviewing and meet select employers to get a jump-start on building their network.
The week includes the JCPenney College Suit Up Event on Sunday, March 18th from 6:30-9:30pm at the JCPenney El Con location (3501 E. Broadway Blvd.). Students who attend will receive a coupon for an extra 40% off their purchase of select career and dress apparel and shoes. They will also have access to stylists and shopping helpers who can help them select outfits that are appropriate for the workplace and interviews.
We hope that you consider adding this week of activities to your spring curriculum and programming or encourage your students to attend so they are more than ready to put their hard work into action during Spring Career Days, March 20 & 21.
