Covid-19 Update
Beginning Tuesday, September 7th, if your child is identified as a close contact to a person who tested positive for COVID-19, he or she will be excluded from school and school related/extracurricular activities for 10 calendar days.
Close contact is defined as indoors within 3 feet for 15 cumulative minutes. Close contacts will be verified using seating charts maintained by classroom teachers.
The following three exceptions will apply:
- Student was wearing a properly fitted mask (verified by the teacher) and has no symptoms
- Student tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 90 days and has no symptoms
- Student was fully vaccinated and has no symptoms
This procedure is in effect for all schools in the Cullman City Schools System.
United Way Hat Day
Students and staff can donate $1 for the privilege of wearing a hat at school. Funny and silly hats are always allowed. All funds raised will be donated to the Cullman United Way.
Road Closed to EES Traffic
6th Street in front of St. Paul's Church and St. Paul's School is closed during drop-off and pick-up. This is not to be used to enter or to exit EES traffic.
Cookie Dough Fundraiser
The annual EES PTO Cookie Dough Fundraiser kicks off on Thursday, September 16.
Patriot Day Food Drive
As part of Patriot Day Remembrance, we will hold our annual food drive to benefit the Caring For Kids food bank. For the month of September, students are asked to bring any non-perishable food items to be donated. Last year, we collected more than 6000 pounds of food during the event; and, this year we have a goal of 7000 pounds. If you prefer, we are accepting cash donations, as well. Each donation of $1.00 equals seven pounds of food. Let's demonstrate our citizenship and sense of community during this time of remembrance.
