Wow- we did it!!!!
I hope that this message finds everyone doing well.
To all of our mothers, Happy Mother's Day. We appreciate all the moms in our school community. The love and support you give each day is amazing. We appreciate all the extra you took on during this pandemic year. You were a teacher, a nurse, a chef, and so much more plus being a mom. THANK YOIU!
We are so grateful for all of the support from our school families, KAH families, community members, and corporate sponsors that supported our Boosterthon Fun Run. We surpassed our goal and raised around $20,000. This should get us around 4,000 books for our classroom libraries. You may think that sounds like a lot of books for our teachers, but when you spread this over 40 teachers it is around 100 books per teacher. Within each classroom teachers will have books at a variety of reading levels because we have students at a variety of reading levels. The additional books we purchase will be both fiction and nonfiction diverse texts by authentic voices. It is important that our classroom library is as diverse as the world that our students are living in and our children have books with characters that look like them and their community. Thank you everyone, we are so excited by our library expansion!
Please reach out if you have any questions, concerns, ideas, or if we can provide support in any way. Thank you for your partnership in keeping the Robinson community safe.
Take Care-
Angeline

(Please use the Sanctuary Entrance located in front of the circle drive -- this entrance is handicap accessible)
MASKS MUST BE WORN INSIDE
Doors will open at 6 PM, not before
Families will enter the Sanctuary room (please be mindful of other families who are present and distance when possible)
There is a pass-through window to the kitchen. Families can approach the window one at a time and Trinity Church volunteers will “shop” for the items you request (this will help limit exposure for everyone)
A “Menu” of available items will be posted near the window
Quantities for each family may be limited, items are subject to availability
Food items offered (meat, frozen meals, bread, breakfast cereal, and limited quantities of milk, eggs, fruits, and vegetables)
There will also be household cleaning items and personal care items.
If you are unable to make it to the pantry you may fill out this form and Robinson Cares volunteers will “shop” for you and deliver your items to your home (food and household items only)
Form will be available May 7-May 20; Deliveries will be made on or after May 21
Please note that in-person shopping offers a wider variety of available items than requesting delivery does. Deliveries are limited to the items on the form since food and non-food inventory varies month-to-month.
Trinity Presbyterian members will be on hand to facilitate a feeling of community and possibly provide additional resources to our families.
This will be our last Pantry Night of the 20-21 school year
Thank you tot he Kirkwood Kiwanis Club for supplying books for our Kindergarten students
21-22 Adventure Club Information
Historically, enrollment for this program is more than 750 students. It is our goal to work towards achieving a similar number.
The process this year is different than in year's past. We will first need families to place their child(ren) on the waitlist. The waitlist link will go live on Friday, May 14 at 10 a.m. and all families will start on the waitlist. Please visit the Adventure Club website on Friday, May 14 to join the waitlist.
Then, when a spot becomes available, families will receive information to officially register their child(ren) into Adventure Club.
We need to start with a smaller number of openings while we transition back to offering Adventure Club again. This rollout is important to ensure our procedures are in place and effective.
Again, the waitlist link will go live on Friday May 14 at 10:00 am. On the Adventure Club website and this is the first step in 2021-22 Adventure Club enrollment.
If you have any questions, please contact Mandy Rose.
REPEATED INFORMATION BELOW
Kindergarten Registration Open
We will be at Meacham Park with ice cream and summer preparation kits for incoming kindergarteners on May 19th, 6:00-7:30 pm. Please bring your kiddos for a sweet treat, parents bring proof of residency, and we can get you registered while the kids play and eat ice cream. Student kits to help prepare kids for kindergarten will be handed out with registration. We hope to see you there!
Please help us spread the word on registering now for kindergarten in the fall. Schools are working on class lists and room assignments for the 2021-22 school year. It's important that our schools can properly prepare for our newest learners. If you know someone who has a child that will be 5 years old by August 1, 2021, please ask them to register as soon as possible to the Kirkwood School District at: kirkwoodschools.org/register.
