FREE live streaming for Nassau County schools
Nassau BOCES Videoconference Service invites Nassau County school districts to sign up for access to live streaming events - for free. Nassau BOCES is piloting a live streaming platform, called FieldTripZoom-Zone, and welcomes all Nassau County educators to sign up for unlimited FREE live streaming events during the remainder of the 2016-17 school year.
FieldTripZoom (FTZ)-Zone offers educators an extensive calendar of live streaming, curriculum-based events during the school year. Events tackle topics in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, arts and humanities, health and wellness, history, government, and literacy as well as a mix of holiday- and international-related events.
Joining a live streaming event is easy and doesn't require videoconferencing equipment (ie, a camera or microphone). Instead, these events encourage lively interaction via Q&A, Chat and Polling. Some of the benefits of FTZ-Zone are:
- Over 214 program times and over 80 unique program events still left for this year
- Can be viewed from any device; Mac, PC, IPad individually or in groups.
- Interactive with Chat, Q&A, Polling questions
- Unlimited attendance by any classroom within the district
- Easy online access to the program calendar and booking
- Program event reminders sent to participating teachers
- Little to no training is required to book and reserve programs. (Training webinars are available)
- Program reservations can be saved to Google calendar
- Unlimited free access for the remainder of the 2016-17 school year

I had fun writing my story. At first I was drafting, and I had to think about what I was drawing and drafting. My favorite part of the writing process is when I started in the beginning. I tried to make it sound good so the reader could understand what I was trying to say and what the characters were trying to say.
