Notes from the Office
Trimester is a time to pause and celebrate--we are about 1/3 of the way through the school year. We've come so far. Special thanks to our students, staff and family volunteers. Student report cards are in Friday folders, and we celebrate the great progress of our students. We look forward to a great winter ahead. --Mr. Isaac
Congrats to our musicians: Brady Holte, Harrison Heuer, and Maya James have played for us this fall as morning musicians, and we have more students scheduled in Decemeber. Mr. Dodge has also noted superior musical talent and students were recognized as musical "Red Rocks Rock Stars" at our assembly today.
Wildlife are out! The bucks are frisky, and we remind students and staff about our wildlife awareness. Thank you Mr. Kemery for the photo above!
From the mailbag, a good question was raised: Yes, PE requires appropriate shoes to participate. Reach out to your classroom teacher if you have questions
KINDERGARTEN and CHOICE ENROLLMENT MEETING: Do you have an incoming kindergarten student or know of a family who is interested in having their child attend Red Rocks next year? Come to a meeting on Tuesday, November 28th at 5:30 p.m. This meeting will cover the open enrollment process, kindergarten information, principal Q&A and a school tour. Red Rocks has a great tradition of spreading the word and bringing amazing students each year. Thanks for sharing the information with your friends.
Red Rocks Shares: Our students share and learn about sharing through their own special giving. Stay tuned for a coat drive coming after the break sponsored by Peer Mentors. Other chances to give include the PTA Holiday Shoppe (see below), where students shop for others. In February our Student Council will launch our annual sharing drive for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Hearing & Vision Testing: A team will be onsite December 5th to test all students. If your child wears corrective lenses, please be sure to send them to school on 12/5/23.
