Jaguar Update
Issue #29, Monday, March 28th
West Memorial Junior High Mission Statement
Dear WMJH Parents,
We had an exciting week last week filled with track meets, Region Choir auditions, and cheerleading tryouts! Congratulations to all our Jaguars out in the Katy ISD Community doing great things and representing WMJH with pride! We are also beginning our Masters Academy starting this week on Tuesday, March 29th! Our Jaguars have shown tremendous growth in the classrooms this year and we are excited to help our kids master their content in math, reading, science and social studies before STAAR Testing begins in the first week of May. Forms should have already been returned to the classroom teachers. We will ensure that our Masters Academy students will have access to our Late Bus that will depart from WMJH at 5 PM on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Students are welcome to walk home, ride their bikes, or parents are also welcome to pick up their students at 5 PM from the main parking lot in front of WMJH.
Let's make it a great week!

Library Book Information
Parents of secondary students may be notified via email if their child checks out a Young Adult Fiction book from the campus library. This optional notification is available if a parent elected to receive the library notification when filling out the online Return to School Enrollment update in August. If a parent did not elect to receive the library notification, parents may contact the registrar’s office at their home campus if they need to make a change and request the notification.
Parents of elementary and secondary students may also download Katy on the Go app to review the books that their student has checked out.
Partner with Parents App
Katy ISD values the continued partnership with our parents to ensure our students have access to the finest instructional resources available. The PWP Online Book Review app has been expanded to include review options for all Instructional Resources. To access the PWP app, log in to MyKaty using your Katy ISD ID number and password. Parents/guardians will use the same ID and password used to log into the Home Access Center (HAC).
