Are you familiar with The Teaching Channel? Need ideas, motivation, inspiration? Log on and see what's going on in other classrooms around the nation! If you find the tool useful, take note that there are opportunities for Vernon teachers to use a private channel within the Teaching Channel as an in district platform to facilitate PD for you, by you, about you.

It is already up and running within certain sub-populations/grade-levels here in Vernon. Mrs. Stoeckel will be supplying you with more information; however, contact her if you would like information in advance.

10/12 All-Call: Columbus Day In-Service Planning Underway!

Planning has begun for the October in-service. You may have already received, or soon will receive, an "all-call" for course proposals. Please consider leading or co-leading a session so that you may:

*facilitate opportunities for collaboration and dialogue

*raise for study an area of interest to you and your grade-level or department colleagues

*build your repertoire of activities designed to showcase your efficacy in "professionalism"

School Improvement Panels

Each school, under ACHIEVE NJ, is required to have a SciP committee. This panel ensures the effectiveness of the school's program for its teachers' professional growth by, in part, overseeing and identifying the school's professional development activities. You may consider filtering your PD concerns and ideas through this panel.
