Announcements:
Congratulations on the completion of our first full week of remote learning. Our students have done a terrific job adapting to online expectations and virtual meeting etiquette. As we move forward we encourage all families to consider the following reminders while supporting your children in the virtual learning environment:
1. Please allow your child to attend live sessions independently. Help foster your child's independence by sitting off camera and only providing assistance for technical support.
2. Please encourage your child to ask questions and respond to the teacher on their own. We aim to help even our youngest learners to advocate for themselves, as this will be necessary when we return to the classroom.
3. If you need to speak to the teacher, please use ClassDojo, or use email to establish a time for a parent conference. This is especially important to minimize class disruption during instructional time.
4. PLEASE be aware of your child's surroundings during live instruction. Everyone in the household needs to be cognizant of the following:
--Background conversations can be heard by the teachers, the students and their families.
--Everyone in the home should be dressed appropriately for school, just in case they appear in the background during instruction.
--Be sure your child has a place to work and refrains from walking around your home. This is distracting to others on the virtual meeting and could impeded on the privacy of those in your home.
Thank you for helping us to provide the best possible learning environment for our students.
