Bryant Blizzard News
November 23, 2018
Mrs. Winkle's class enjoyed a fest together! We hope you did too! Have a great Thanksgiving Break, see you back on Monday!
Just a reminder that FREE breakfast is served from
8:00-8:40 am every day for all children.
Our 5th grade LEGO Robotics team: TRICSS-The Robotic Ice Cold Space Sporks - exhibited Blizzard Pride at the regional tournament at SMS on November 17th!
They were given the Core Values Award which is one of the highest awards you can get!!! Core Values include: Gracious Professionalism, Coopertition (cooperating and competing at the same time), inclusion, discovery, fun, teamwork, innovation, and impact. This is a major accomplishment for a rookie team!
They were well behaved and persevered with positive attitudes even when their robot didn't perform as well as they hoped it would. They performed a skit to showcase their learning around the research project they did on nutrition in space. It was funny, witty and packed with facts. The team was able to explain in detail their learning process for building and coding their robot, Spoon.
We are so very proud of our Lego Robotics team! Way to represent Bryant School! Well done!
PTO MEETINGS are held at 5:30 every second Thursday of the month in the conference room across from the main office. PTO minutes from the last meeting can be viewed in the document below. The next meeting is Thursday, December 13th.
Box Top News
There is a collection sheet for the month of November. Each student that turns in a completed sheet will receive a coupon for a free mini murph pizza from Papa Murphy's. If you do not have enough box tops to fill the sheet, you can bring them to school in a baggie or envelope marked with student's name and teacher and still receive a free pizza coupon.

BLIZZARD BOUTIQUE MANAGER
The Blizzard Boutique is a store for students to do family shopping the week before Winter Break. Coordinator duties involve:
- Choosing and buying holiday gifts for students to then purchase for their families while at school.
- Keeping track of that “inventory”
- Coordinating advertising for the store
- Volunteer help at the sales table
- Set up/take down after the sale
Bryant parent, Jennifer Farrell currently manages boutique duties has a 5th grader this year so is hoping to pass the torch. She is happy to work with new volunteers this year to prepare for them to take over duties next year.
We are also in need of a few volunteers to help put together our 2018/19 yearbook.
Please contact LeAnn Egnash, Parent Involvement Coordinator, if you are interested in learning more about these volunteer positions.

Kindergarten Donors Choose Project
I just got some very exciting news from Donors Choose. An anonymous donor believes in our Rigorous, Playful Environment for our young learners.
Donations of any size will be matched. Right now, any contribution you make to our classroom project will be doubled by An anonymous donor. Your donation will brighten my students' school year, and you'll get heartfelt thank-yous from my class and photos of your gift in action.
Here's my classroom request:
To have your donation matched dollar for dollar, just make a contribution on that project page -- donations will be doubled automatically, but only while funding lasts.
If you know anyone who is passionate about education, please pass this along. My students and I greatly appreciate your support.
From The Nurse's Office
Our school nurse is in need of extra pants for "accidents".
If you are willing to donate, we are in need of sizes: 5-14 in both boys and girls pants.
