From the Principal
Dear Copeland families,
November is off to a busy start at Copeland! Our awesome 5th grade choir, under the direction of Claudia Vigil, had a great performance at Langham Creek Ace Hardware Ladies Night and another great performance at our Veterans’ Day Festivities. We love honoring our Veterans at Copeland. We were so excited to have so many come out to parade through our school and to give us a chance to thank them for their service.
Thanks for your support of our fall book fair! It is always a favorite event of the year. We hope to see everyone at our Fall Family Fun Fest on Saturday, November 13th at Copeland from 2:00 – 5:00 pm on the playground sponsored by our fabulous PTO. Mark your calendars for our 1st grade Thankful for Reading event on Tuesday, November 16th from 5:30 to 6:00. Our Kindergarteners will have their Thankful Day on Friday, November 19th. Teachers will be sending home more information.
There will be no school the week of November 22 – 26. I am so thankful for our Copeland families. We are blessed with the best!

This form is available from the campus front desk or can be requested through your child’s teacher or counselor. Testing will be in January or February 2022. All enrolled Kindergarten students will participate in screening. No parent referral is required. Quantitative and qualitative data will be collected from their classrooms. Registrar's Office - Attendance
Dear Copeland Parents,
Transportation changes must be requested by 2:45 p.m., and the latest early pick-up time is 2:45 p.m. as well. Thank you for honoring this, as there are many moving parts at the end of each school day.
Instruction begins at 8:00 a.m. daily, and students who arrive at 8:05 a.m., or later, are marked tardy (unless they are bus riders who are never marked tardy). Please do not drop off your student if the front door is closed. Parents or guardians must sign their child in at the front office if they arrive after 8:05 a.m. Thanks for your cooperation.
If your child is absent from school, please send a signed note or a doctor’s note (if available) at the time the student returns to school.
Excuse notes must be provided to the school within three (3) days from the date of the absence, or consecutive absences.
A phone call and/or email will not excuse the student’s absence.
Students with excessive absences and/or tardiness will be referred to the district’s truancy officer.
Every day counts!
